The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Translational Neuroscience and Senior Investigator of the Neuroscience Research Institute must have an exceptionally strong scientific track record of extramural funding and high-impact publications and be recognized as a leader in the field. Candidates must also have a strong track record of and commitment to mentoring junior faculty and postdoctoral fellows. Additionally, successful candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and administrative and organizational experience in a team player environment.
A summary of the major responsibilities of this position:
1.Provide leadership over translational neuroscience research within the AdventHealth Research Institute (AHRI).
2.Develop Translational Neuroscience research infrastructure.
3.Lead an extramurally funded research program that falls under the broad umbrella of healthy aging, neurocognition and Alzheimer's prevention and control research. This should include working with the AdventHealth clinics and system in some capacity.
4.Ensure that research within translational neuroscience aligns with catchment area priorities as informed by the AdventHealth Neuroscience Research Institute.
5.Support the Chief Scientific Officer of AdventHealth in advancing the translational neuroscience research portfolio at AdventHealth.
