The DC independently provides clinical assessment, treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, and other appropriate mental health services at the advanced practice level to Veterans and their family members as assigned. The Division Chief (DC) of Acute Care Services reports to the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS), Mental and Behavioral Health Service (MBHS). The DC manages, directs, and oversees the Acute Care Services for MBHS, in the Durham VA Health Care System (Complexity Level 1A (High) Facility). The division's staff is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, peer support specialists, psychologists, social workers, and other staff members.
