WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A successful medical facility certainly includes a top-notch medical staff but it starts with a core group of professionals that are responsible for the efficient and effective management and leadership of strategic, administrative, operational and financial initiatives. Our Physician Medical Director manages these day-to-day operations all while supporting and quality and performance improvement activities for our physicians and practices. Itâ™s a job with a lot of hats and one that requires a strong personality to wear them.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Seek new patient care opportunities and services, new business opportunities and potential joint ventures to expand FPN's regional presence.
• Work with Operations to establish a facility plan for current and future local FPN locations and a capital investment plan for expenditures for technology and equipment.
• Participate in community, business and public relations activities and marketing campaigns.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key area healthcare decision-makers.
• Work with Administrative Director of Operations to provide the leadership and communication to assure that the business operations of local FPN practices are effective and efficient.
• Develop a staffing plan for the physician practices that address present and future needs and develop an effective plan for physician and physician extender recruitment, orientation and retention.
• Ensure local FPN's compliance with state and federal regulatory bodies and AAAHC, ACHE, NCQA, state department of health and all other regulatory and accrediting agencies governing Healthcare.
• Encourage the FPN physicians to actively participate as members of the facility medical staff including volunteering for committee responsibilities and other activities to further the mission of FA.
• Maintain a comprehensive quality program for FPN that ensures high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction, is grounded in FPN's performance improvement philosophy and principles, and adheres to the FPN's annual Performance Improvement Planâ™s indicators and goals.
• Ensure the development and implementation of quality monitoring, reporting, analysis and improvement systems for functional measures that are linked to FPNâ™s goals.
• Contribute to the development of strategic and financial goals for the local FPN through the creation of policy and program initiatives, including long-range financial planning and branding and marketing strategies, to assure the continued success and growth of FPN.
• Serve as a member of the FPN Leadership Council.
• Develop and manage the system function area budget as applicable; develop and enforce system area policies.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

• Prior experience in a senior management role in healthcare administration.
• Prior experience directing physician practice management services.
• Critically evaluate and analyze information in written materials.
• Understanding of laws, regulations, or policies impacting the Healthcare industry.
• Solve problems by analyzing information and using logic to address issues and problems.
• Quality improvement processes.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.
• Manage conflict and tactfully handle complaints and difficult situations.
