THE ORGANIZATION
A stable and growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), the San Francisco Community Health Center (SFCHC), has pioneered many innovative healthcare and advocacy programs serving, perhaps, the most vulnerable and stigmatized populations in the US, including the LGBTQ community and the unhoused.
With growing revenues and recognition from high level elected officials, major foundations - and a recent transformative gift commitment in the tens of millions of dollars from two of the world’s most prominent philanthropists - the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will collaborate with a very supportive Board of Directors, CEO, leadership team and other major stakeholders to steward major expansion of SFCHC’s services to the community.
From a national perspective, for over 30 years, the SFCHC has provided HIV/AIDS-related capacity building and HIV prevention programming assistance services to nonprofits and healthcare provider organizations in the US, Pacific Islands, and US territories. The health center's expert trainers and consultants improve and strengthen the workforce supporting clients and patients with HIV.
Due to executive management’s consideration of staff in key decisions, the organization has a high-trust culture which enables the health center’s positive organizational performance.
HEALTHCARE OFFERINGS
THE POSITION
This health center is recruiting its next Chief Medical Officer who will oversee and expand innovative clinical care offerings while, concurrently, acting as one of the key strategists steering this FQHC.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) contributes to the strength, growth and long-term development of the organization by managing and expanding innovative clinical care offerings and supporting a whole-person care approach to patient services.
The CMO is responsible for medical services provided at SFCHC as well as quality management and program integration across the organization to ensure comprehensive and integrated services to achieve health and wellness for all clients and patients of the organization. Currently, the clinic represents approximately one-third of the overall operating budget of the organization with the other two-thirds consisting of comprehensive HIV programs, the transgender drop-in center, community health education programming and capacity building assistance services.
Join a practical and supportive team of innovators leading a movement for diversity, equity and inclusion!
