Successful candidates will help build upon the Department’s existing strengths, and work to provide the vision and academic leadership that will bring the Department to the next level of excellence. The Chair will have substantial opportunities for recruitment of new faculty.
Applicants for the Director of Cancer Genomics will lead a translational effort serving as Co-leader of the institute’s NCI Cancer Center Support Grant program in Genetics & Genomics, providing guidance for NCI-funded graduate education in cancer genomics, and fostering research across a range of scientific fields within the Cancer Center related to clinical genomics. Applicants are required to be BC/BE in the medical fields of hematology or medical oncology, pathology, radiology, or surgery and be eligible for a NY State Medical License. The successful applicant is required to have direct input to patient care and participate in clinical care.
