Position Summary:
The Director of Clinical Research is responsible for the clinical research conduct operations and management of the Institute for Research & Innovation's clinical research program and leads the clinical research team to ensure sponsored research is performed on-time, within budget and meets/exceeds quality standards. The Director uses strategic and proactive measures to optimize resources and ensure growth; promotes MultiCare research through business development; assures audit readiness and ensures compliance to applicable federal and state laws, regulations and MHS/Institute policies for research conduct. The incumbent collaborates with numerous leaders, physicians, and community partners to facilitate ongoing relationship development and to promote increased research across MHS and in the communities served by MHS.
Minimum Requirements:
Ten (10) years of experience in clinical research at clinical research site or healthcare facility or pharmaceutical/biotech organization
Two (2) years of experience as Director at a clinical research site in clinical research operations or management or substitute with five (5) years of experience as Manager at a clinical research site in clinical research operations or management
Five (5) years of experience in a managerial capacity
Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree preferred
