UPMC health care system is actively recruiting for a Vice President of Operations – Service Lines for the UPMC Central PA Region in Harrisburg, PA. The Region includes seven acute care hospitals with 1,160 licensed beds, over 160 outpatient clinics and ancillary facilities, more than 2,900 physicians and allied health professionals on its medical staff, 1,100+ employed providers, and approximately 11,000 employees. It is a health care hub serving Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, York, Lancaster, Lebanon, Juniata, Franklin, Adams, and parts of Snyder counties.
The Vice President, Operations - Service Lines provides leadership to those individuals responsible for the clinical operations of the services lines. The VP, Service Lines directs, monitors, controls, coordinates and evaluates the operational activities with a responsibility for the internal and external environment so that an efficient, safe and patient-friendly atmosphere is established. Through emphasis on quality, efficiency and best practices, the Vice President of Operations - Service Lines will ensure that clinical services are delivered with a best of class culture by an accountable, effective operations organization. The VP, Service Lines will ensure all ambulatory operations are in line with the overall strategic goals of the market leaders in the service area.
