Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a psychiatrist to lead the Department of Psychiatry at Morristown Medical Center. The Chair of Psychiatry will provide clinical and administrative leadership to a team of +30 psychiatrists as well as a robust support staff including social workers, clinical nurse specialists, and on-site pharmacists.
Responsibilities
The new Chair will be responsible for all aspects of the Department across all divisions, including growth, quality, management of perioperative services, and education. The role includes an expectation to remain clinically active (30%) and maintain a high level of clinical credibility with the Department.
Clinical Program Offerings include:
- 25 Bed Voluntary Inpatient Service
- Crisis Intervention Services in the Emergency Department
- Outpatient Psychiatry Services
- Consultation Liaison Services
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Track record of physician leadership a ideally as Division Chief or Vice Chair of Department
- Expereince within an academic setting is desirable
- Ability to provide leadership on full scope of psychiatric practices, especially as it relates to substance abuse
- Comfort level managing a combination of employed and voluntary staff
Minimum Education:
- Bacheloras degree in a realted field
Education:
- Masteras degree preferred
License/Certification:
- Board-certification and eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey
Relevant Experience:
- 5+ years of leadership experience
