Geisinger, a national leader in healthcare innovation and technology, is seeking a Chair of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine. Lead and collaborate with 8 Directors leading 66 Physicians across 3 regions throughout Pennsylvania. Also practice state-of-the-art medicine with support from excellent Advanced Practice Providers, Pharmacists and Nursing Staff.
Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of leading physician teams as well as a strong interest and record of recruitment, mentorship, and retention efforts
Responsibilities include a combination of administrative work as well as practicing Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine. Clinical/operational knowledge of Sleep Medicine is also required
Prior academic appointment with dual responsibilities within clinical medicine and an affiliated medical school/fellowship program
History of teaching and educational faculty responsibilities
History of research accomplishments and continued interest in supporting internal/external research opportunities within the department
Proven record of innovation, programmatic development, and strategic initiative
Practice and lead the department from any of our Geisinger locations.
