Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees the clinical and business operations of Medical Associates, Iowa's oldest physician-owned multi-specialty group practice, delivering care across 33 specialties in 12 Iowa-Illinois-Wisconsin locations.
While not a direct responsibility, it is worth noting that Medical Associates Health Plans was established in 1982 by Medical Associates Clinic, the Tri-State area’s first health maintenance organization.
As a member of a six-person executive team leading strategic direction, this role is instrumental in the management and growth of a uniquely positioned medical group recognized as the premier regional physician enterprise. The COO is responsible for leading the departmental and regional operations, as well as ancillary services, providing operational expertise across the group. This individual will assist its fellow administrative leadership and physician shareholders in driving innovation and making sound business decisions. Medical Associates Clinic is a well-established physician group practice with over 170 providers and a staff of over 1,000 health care professionals and support personnel.
