We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the Vice President Operations – Women’s & Children’s at AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), Maitland, Florida.
At AHMG our primary customers are patients and families. Our partners are physicians, and our team members are all employees of AdventHealth.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the AHMG Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President works in partnership with physician and health system leaders to deliver growth and high-quality, high-valued patient care with responsibility for the strategic direction of the AHMG providers of designated service lines. The primary responsibility is to ensure that excellent daily operations of each practice are present. Operational responsibilities include leading, and directing, the operational aspects of all physician practices within their scope of responsibility. Uses leadership and personal influence to align and motivate staff and physicians’ energy towards goal achievement. Works collaboratively across the organization to champion creative and progressive goals. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that approved strategic plans are in place.
Monitor compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Monitor facility policies and procedures and makes recommendations for development and revisions.
Establish and implement major goals, and objectives for each practice and market.
Oversees practice budgets, billing, accounts payable and fixed asset management.
Manage satisfaction programs for patients and employees.
Uses sound judgment to make decisions in the best interest of the organization.
Provides input and support to specialty committees and leadership to ensure effective governance and positive, engaged physician relationships.
Acts as a liaison to Service Lines and external affiliates to maintain sound business relations with hospital business partners and influencers.
Responsible for all practice operations within designated service lines.
Oversight and implementation of electronic medical records within practices.
Participates with hospital leadership to define and implement a physician strategy for each campus.
Implement contractual and process strategies to “link” specialist physicians with hospital service lines or institutes.
Develop and monitor processes to ensure all practice startups are managed well.
Oversee market practice acquisitions.
Manage practices to budget.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a large multi-specialty physician practice
MGMA, CMCO or other practice management certification
Thorough knowledge of physician practice operations, strategic planning, billing and coding
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
Proven ability to organize workflow and communicate effectively to superiors and to motivate subordinate personnel.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Business Administration
