This is a full-time position with 60% dedicated time to clinical service on the inpatient psychiatric units at Wesley Woods Hospital and 40% dedicated time to administrative responsibilities. The salary will be determined by the Emory Physician Group Practice (PGP) and will be commensurate with experience and the PGP guidelines.

Inpatient duties will include providing evidenced based care for an average of 4-6 inpatients. You will be working with a second year psychiatry resident or nurse practitioner to help facilitate coverage.

The administrative duties include:

1. Maintaining the highest quality, safety, and patient satisfaction in practice
1. Monitor quality and safety data relevant to the department.
2. Monitor and respond to any reported safety events through the Emory Incident Management System.
3. Gemba rounds at least monthly at all clinical locations on the Emory inpatient and outpatient units. Participate in monthly Morbidity and Mortality Conferences.
4. Meet with program directors regarding clinical operations, quality and safety.
5. Facilitate team-based approach to quality and safety.
2. Maintain fiscal responsibility and financial growth
1. Weekly clinical operation meetings with division administrators and executive administrators.
2. Represent Chair at operating unit (hospital) and Physician Group Practice meetings.
3. Evaluate opportunities for growth and new care models within the service line.
4. Assist in building proformas for new opportunities.
3. Operations
1. Assess clinical practice sites and help improve practice.
2. Respond to clinician concerns and escalations.

Candidate should be Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology
