The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) serves as the senior clinical advisor to Primary Health Network (PHN) management. This position should represent the interests of the practicing clinicians to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors. At the same time, the CMO must serve to define and explain corporate goals and directives to the medical staff. The CMO must also be involved in efforts to ensure that all clinicians comply with all regulatory and legal requirements and must also direct efforts at maintaining and improving the quality of care provided to PHN patient populations.
Requirements
• MD or DO degree
• Board certification by an ABMS or AOA specialty board
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience
• Minimum 3 years administrative experience in a clinical healthcare related field
• Management expertise including personnel management
