Renown Health (RH) is a highly progressive, nationally recognized regionally owned and operated health system serving the community of Reno (metro population 500K) and the surrounding region. RH (1,000 beds generating over $1.8B in net revenue annually, with an A+ bond rating) has a 50-year operating agreement with the University of Nevada- Reno School of Medicine, which operates graduate medical education, nursing, and allied health training programs within the RH enterprise. The health system is affiliated with approximately 1500 physicians, supports a 500-provider employed medical group and operates several centers of excellence (including cardiovascular, neurosciences, orthopedics, breast care) as well as the only Level II Trauma Center and Children’s Hospital in the region. In addition, the system owns and operates Hometown Health Plan.
Reporting directly to the System Chief Clinical Officer, this executive will be responsible for the aspirational quality, regulatory quality, and safety for all system elements, hospitals, rehabilitation hospital, medical group and health plan in conjunction with the CMO for each area. Shape and guiding the Quality Committee of the Board of Directors, executive leaders, physicians, and clinical and support staff to promote and support an inclusive culture focused on quality, safety, equity, and access will be critical to the role. This highly visible leader will be charged with the continued development and management of Reliable and Exact Care by Renown, launched in 2021. The CQO will champion safety, education, and transparency initiatives that support quality-related strategic goals and oversees the system-wide performance improvement program.
Reno-Sparks, ranked as one of the top places to live in the U.S. (Places Rated) is a highly desirable mid-sized city with numerous outdoor amenities, three universities/colleges, close proximity to major water/skiing amenities (45 minutes to Lake Tahoe).
