Division Chief, Neonatology
Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Children’s Hospital at Montefiore
This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary leader to support and advance the missions of both the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center.
The Division Chief of Neonatology provides leadership for all components of the Division. Children’s Hospital of Montefiore (CHAM) seeks a dynamic, passionate, and capable physician-leader with a record of success spanning collaborative clinical leadership, administrative management, program development, individual scholarship, educational excellence, successful faculty recruitment, and community engagement; success leading a clinical research enterprise is additive.
The Division of Neonatology at Children's Hospital at Montefiore is home to nationally recognized specialists and National Institutes of Health-funded physician-scientists who conduct laboratory based and patient-focused, translational research with the goal of improving pregnancy outcomes.
Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best children’s hospitals in multiple pediatric subspecialties, including Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Nephrology, and Neonatology. Each year, the hospital cares for over 9,000 hospitalized infants, children, and adolescents with complex medical and surgical conditions, including 1,100 in the state-of-the-art pediatric critical care unit, and approximately 900 critically ill newborns in the neonatal intensive care units
Within the Montefiore Health system there are 6 hospitals with obstetrical services and as one of the leading referral and delivery centers in the region, the Division of Neonatology has an active neonatal transport service for patients in the Bronx, Westchester, Rockland, and Orange counties.
The position reports directly to the Chair of Pediatrics and involves collaborative key relationships with other division chiefs, pediatric administrators, Montefiore leadership, MFM / OB GYN, and the Dean of Albert Einstein COM.
