Under the direction of the West Tele-Critical Care Physician Director(TCCPD),the Tele-Critical Care Associate Physician Director(TCCAPD)is responsible for providing clinical and administrative oversight, direction and management of the West Tele-Critical Care Program, including developing best practice standards, quality assessment and reporting, quality improvement initiatives, monitoring Tele-Critical Care physician and program performance, developing, evaluating and reporting program metrics. The TCCAPD will have responsibility for oversight, ongoing competency evaluation and quality review for the Tele-Critical Care physician staff under the direction of the TCCPD. The TCCAPD may also interact with affiliated facility ICU directors and nurse managers and medical directors, and with bedside ICU nurses and physicians. In addition to the patients and families served by the Tele-Critical Care, the primary sites and their nursing and physician staff and trainees are Tele-Critical Care's primary "customers." Therefore, outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills are both essential for the TCCAPD position. The TCCAPD works closely with the West TCCPD and Nurse Manager, and solicits stakeholder input for programmatic development, direction, and achievement of common goals. Key stakeholders include Tele-Critical Care staff, affiliated ICU staff and facility leadership, the National Tele-Critical Care Program Office, HTM/biomedical and information technology personnel.
