This is an exciting opportunity for a physician executive to join the largest pediatric provider in the region, recognized as a Best Children’s Hospital for 2021-22 by U.S. News & World Report and ranked #1 in Illinois, and serve a critical leadership role in growing, developing, and maintaining programs and activities of the sleep center. There is significant opportunity for immediate growth of investigator-initiated research, new clinical programs and multidisciplinary clinics, increased collaboration with the adult sleep medicine program, and faculty development.
As the chief academic and administrative leader of the Sleep Medicine Program, the new Pediatric Sleep Medicine Center Director and Medical Directorwill apply a commitment to excellence in delivery of care, research, education, and advocacy. Working closely with the Division Head of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, the Director will oversee all clinical, educational and research aspects, along with operational functions and budgeting for the program.
The Ideal Candidate is a visionary and strategic leader with knowledge and experience in a comprehensive academic university setting. The Director will have demonstrated leadership in clinical care, development of research, and/or administration and strong clinical expertise along with a proven track record of funded research within the field of Pediatric Sleep Medicine. Attributes include:
MD, DO or MD/PhD.
Board certification and fellowship training in Pediatrics and Sleep Medicine.
Academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
Must have or be able to obtain an unrestricted Illinois medical license.
