WittKieffer has partnered with Medical College of Wisconsin in the national search for its Associate Vice President, Total Rewards & HR Systems (AVP). This new opportunity exists to hire a highly trained, expert total rewards executive leader capable of bringing contemporary compensation, HR systems, and benefits strategies to this dynamic organization.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Associate Vice-President, Total Rewards and HR Systems will be responsible for strategy and oversight in establishing and maintaining the philosophy, practices, and overall effectiveness of MCW’s Total Rewards programs, encompassing executive, advanced practice provider and staff compensation, as well as benefits, wellbeing and retirement. As an integral member of the executive HR leadership team, the AVP will have focus on constant innovation to ensure that the compensation and benefits programs and HR technologies remain competitive, sustainable, scalable, and positively impact the institution. This position will develop and implement a human capital technology and data analytic strategy and roadmap that supports a best in class HR information system (HR Systems) and technology infrastructure.
MCW is one of the nation’s premier freestanding and private academic health sciences institutions that is widely recognized for advancing academics, training, education and research. The institution provides excellence in training and education for physicians, scientists and researchers including graduate and undergraduate medical education programs, basic and translational research initiatives and overall clinical excellence. MCW is Wisconsin’s largest private national research institution and the cornerstone of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus.
The successful candidate must have experience in a similarly complex environment and possess senior-level total rewards knowledge in the areas of compensation, HR systems, and benefits. The next AVP must have an ability to toggle between strategic and tactical work which will be critical for this executive as they seek to develop the team and their capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field is required. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
Professional certification in compensation preferred.
Minimum ten plus years in related HR leadership experience in a large, decentralized organization.
Extensive understanding of the complex and competitive environment of the academic health systems preferred.
