South Texas Veterans Health Care System is seeking a well-qualified physician with strong leadership and interpersonal skills to serve as the Chief Medical Officer for the North West Health Care Center (NWHCC). The incumbent is responsible for the direct management and oversight of clinical and administrative operations within the NWHCC located in South Texas. The incumbent will report to directly to the Chief of Staff. The supervisory role includes the monitoring, review and assignment of healthcare providers' workload, clinical effectiveness and efficiency, coordination of work schedules and the responsibility for clinical performance measures.
