Sage Neuroscience Center is a collaborative multidisciplinary clinic for behavioral health, primary care, and addictions looking for a physician for our Behavior Health Clinic. We serve more than 10,000 people in the Greater Albuquerque Area and deliver care to more than 220 patients daily. The role of Psychiatric Medical Director provides leadership in behavioral health collaborating with other clinical and management leaders and reports to the CEO.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Supervise approximately 15 MDs and mid-level providers ensuring support and basic clinical standards are met
Oversee program schedules to meet the unique needs of patients and any individualized service groups, based on level of care, balancing both quality and efficiency
Ensure clinical documentation meets both qualitative and quantitative standards.
Establish systems for both quantitative auditing and qualitative peer review and data tracking that ensures these standards are maintained over time
Recommend, revise and update clinical policy when needed
Recommend, organize and participate in regular team training for clinical staff
Participate in weekly management meetings
Maintain a part-time clinical caseload
Provide medical back-up to providers where needed
Collaborate with leadership team to ensure smooth daily operation and establish long-term objectives for the clinic
Complete monthly, quarterly, and all other reports as required in a timely manner
Education, Skills, and Experience:
Board Certified General Adult Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Additional fellowship specialties appreciated.
5-10+ years clinical practice experience
3+ years management experience
Must be licensed to practice Psychiatry in the state of New Mexico.
Current DEA certificate
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to work with others and demonstrate strong leadership qualities
Spanish-speaking a plus
Salary commensurate with experience
