The Laboratory Director directs, manages, and coordinates all Laboratory functions in the Hospital setting. Responsible for the standards of practice according to established policies and procedures related to administrative, financial, and technical operations of the Laboratory.
The Laboratory Director expectation includes excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; effective and flexible leadership and coaching skills needed to maintain the highest standard of productivity, while fostering a pleasant working environment for Laboratory employees.
Preferred Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
Minimum five (5) years Supervisory or Management experience in a hospital laboratory.
Requirements: Licensure for Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in a combination of Microbiology, Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunohematology.
