Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or Board certified M.D. in Psychiatry; licensed (or immediately license-eligible) to practice in the State of Maine. Also required: proven assessment and crisis intervention skills; advanced clinical and supervisory skills; a thorough understanding of psychological/social/developmental issues pertaining to a diverse college student population; and excellent interpersonal communication skills including the ability to build rapport with students in a diverse community; exceptional leadership skills including success in developing staff and creating an effective team; strong organizational capabilities; thoughtful in incorporating inclusion and diversity in clinical practices and services offered; and a good sense of humor. Five or more years post-doctoral clinical experience, including at least two years counseling students in a college or university setting; demonstrated expertise in a variety of therapeutic modalities; experience counseling talented students from culturally diverse backgrounds.
