A prominent and successful regional urban healthcare system in New Jersey, recognized as one of the area’s most respected providers, is seeking a VP of Physician Services. The Vice President will play a critical leadership role within theHealthcare System. This executive will be the lead architect in developing andimplementing strategies to expand upon the Physician Enterprise infrastructure. In addition, the Vice President will expand relationships with physicians by providingstrategic and tacticalleadership, counsel and support on key business objectives, and maintaining solid trusting relationships with Board of Trustees, C-suite leaders, physicians and practice managers.
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Vice President of Physician Services will be responsible for the successful business, strategic and financial operation and performance of Physician Services, a new, dynamic growing enterprise attached to this successful health system with a focused vision, sense of mission and support of all senior leadership for its growth and success. The Vice President is a key leader in the application of clinical quality standards and performance guidelines, in developing enhanced operational systems including centralized scheduling, tracking and compensation/productivity/accountability systems, and in building the overall infrastructure for a large medical group integrated with a broader Health System.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience growing, leading and managing large physician practices and/or healthcare system physician enterprises with a sizable employed physician base. This executive is a successful influencer and change agent who can interact effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders and build consensus.S/he will be a respected mission-driven executive leader of stature and reputation, well versed in current medical group trends and leadership.
