Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a DIRECTOR of our 32-bed SURGICAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT. Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Intensive Care are a part of the Section of General Surgery within the Department of Surgery. There are currently four surgical critically trained faculty members who provide a broad range of elective and emergency General Surgery services and make daily rounds in the SICU. The individual selected will be expected to lead out efforts to enhance the ICU, quality, safety, and efficiency for the unit. The average census of 30 includes patients that have had liver transplantation, cardiac, thoracic, complex surgical oncology, and general surgery procedures.
