Hollywood, FL- Memorial Healthcare System, based in Hollywood, Florida, seeks a progressive, collaborative and experienced physician executive to serve as its next system Chief Medical Officer. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, independent teaching health system that has a longstanding reputation for high quality care, strong financial performance and an excellent medical staff.
With $2 billion in annual net revenue, Memorial Healthcare System is a six-hospital, public safety-net system providing tertiary/quaternary care to South Florida residents. While it remains a community-based system at its core, the organization has evolved to become an increasingly academic organization with numerous accredited residencies and fellowships and a growing research program.
As the senior physician executive for the health system and a key member of the executive leadership team, the Chief Medical Officer is responsible for driving the system's clinical strategy and will work collaboratively to drive ambulatory network development, service line development, physician alignment and related population health initiatives. The position has direct-line responsibility for quality and patient safety, medical staff affairs and education and research, and shared responsibility for Memorial Physician Group, a multi-specialty practice comprising nationally recognized medical professionals across 80 adult and pediatric specialties and subspecialties.
Successful candidates will have a doctorate degree in Medicine; a valid Florida Medical License (or ability to obtain); and board certification in ABMS recognized specialty. This role will require significant experience as a physician leader in a complex, multi-site system, along with experience and knowledge in graduate medical education and clinical research. Because the system includes a large, freestanding children's hospital, exposure to pediatric healthcare is also desirable.
