Trinity Health Mid Atlantic (North region - St. Mary's in Bucks County PA) is looking for a Program Director over our Internal Medicine Residency program. This role will oversee the development, application and the maintenance of certification of the Residency in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and the Policies and Procedures of the Sponsoring Institution. 50% Clinical Services and 50% Administrative Services.
The Program Director of the Internal Medicine program is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and the general administration of the Internal Medicine Residency Program sponsored by St. Mary Physician Group. The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of the Internal Medicine Residency program. The Program Director is expected to integrate the Internal Medicine Residency program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice. The Program Director will report to the VP of SMPG and DIO and will have a collaborative reporting relationship to the chair of the Department of Internal Medicine.
Organize and direct the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Mary Physician Group, including the organization of rotations and other educational activities at all clinical sites that participate in the program.
Maintain active clinical practice in general Internal Medicine or one of the subspecialties of Internal Medicine.
Recruit, interview and select the Internal Medicine residents.
Submit reports on program, faculty, and fellow performance to the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) as requested by the Chair of the GMEC. Update annually both program and resident records through the ACGME’s Accreditation Data System.
Ensure the implementation of fair policies, grievance procedures, and due process, as established by the Graduate Medical Education Committee, and in compliance with the ACGME Institutional Requirements.
Prepare an accurate statistical and narrative description of the program as requested by the Internal Medicine Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Prepare for the on-site program reviews.
