MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital is searching for a Medical Director for Mary Bridge Primary Care Network, in Dyad partnership with the Mary Bridge Children’s Healthcare Network Administrator for Primary Care and Behavioral Health has responsibility for overseeing the performance of employed providers within the MBCHHN Primary Care Service Line. The Medical Director will consult and assist in the clinical operations of MBCHHN Primary Care Service Line. Additionally, the incumbent will foster, build and lead the strategic and clinical agenda of the MBCHHN Affiliated Primary Care Network, which consists of independent but affiliated primary care practices. The Medical Director will help drive quality improvement efforts and practice standardization, and help to develop a comprehensive primary care network built on the principles of the IHI’s quadruple aim that is capable of managing populations under new and innovative care and payment models. The Medical Director will also assist in various system-wide initiatives, as directed. The Medical Director must be a physician with strong clinical and administrative skills and credentials who is prepared and willing to lead MBCHHN in the above functions, while continuing in a part-time clinical practice. This will be a split FTE with Administration and Clinical responsibilities.
Work situations are varied, requiring analysis of information related to a variety of clinical, operational and strategic areas, the use of discretion and good judgment in decision-making, strong leadership, organization and managerial skills. The Medical Director will work closely with the others in MBCHHN management in a team approach to planning and operations. Internal contacts are at all levels. External contacts include professional organizations, community providers, consultants, regulatory agencies, contracting hospitals and community agencies.

Graduate of an accredited medical school
MBA/MHA or Master’s in Public Health preferred
Formal education/training in population health preferred
Licensure to practice medicine in Washington State
Board certified in Pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty
Credentialed to practice in MultiCare Health System facilities
Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience, providing direct patient care
