national search to recruit the Chief Medical Officer in Langhorne, PA.

Reporting to the President, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will provide the overall direction and management of medical staff services, quality, risk management and graduate medical education. As a member of the senior leadership team at St. Mary, the CMO will provide leadership and vision for the enterprise strategic plan with a focus on medical staff services, quality and patient safety. The CMO will engage and integrate with all key stakeholders at the local, regional and national levels to champion and advance the strategies of the organization, fulfilling their mission and responsibilities to the patients and the community for patient safety, quality, cost-effective care, and positive patient experience.
The chosen physician will be a proven leader with a minimum of five years of executive leadership experience and 15 years within clinical practice. The preferred physician leader will possess strong communication skills as well as the ability to lead and influence others, and achieve results. He/She will have a strong understanding of current CMO practices, including working knowledge of pay-for-performance and accountable care and have experience leading a mixed medical staff of employed, independent and contracted physicians. An MD or DO from an accredited medical school, completion of an accredited residency program in a medical specialty and Board Certification are all required. An MBA, MHA or advanced management degree is preferred.
