Responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and overall operational management of physician services and medical staff administration. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer to develop strategic plans, policies and address operational issues that build effective relationships between the hospital and its Medical Staff to produce excellence in clinical outcomes. Partners with the Chief Nursing Officer of each hospital to provide effective multidisciplinary approaches to clinical outcome management and environments of quality and safety. Additional responsibilities include establishing and implementing standards and policies within each hospital and across hospitals to ensure quality of medical care. This role works closely with the Group Chief Medical Officer and Centura CME to meet Centura operating group and system-wide strategies, goals, objectives and standards. Services as the primary community resource to all hospital communities and provides advice and counsel to Centura administrators on medical and administration matters related to medical practice and current affairs.

What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Doctorate Degree (Doctor of Medicine) Required.
MD Required (Board certified in an approved clinical specialty required while in clinical practices)
Master degree in Business Administration - preferred.
Five years' experience in delivery of physician services and medical staff administration with proven success in progressive responsibility in healthcare leadership.
Medical staff relations, quality measurement credentialing and previous medical management experience highly desirable. Knowledge of Joint Commission, managed care and health policy is essential with proven success in effective integration of medical management.
