Rome, GA – Floyd Health System seeks a collaborative and progressive physician leader to serve as its Executive Medical Director, Floyd Primary Care Network. The new Executive Medical Director will oversee, build, recruit, retain and improve an infrastructure for Floyd's employed primary care physician enterprise, including systems and processes; a culture of collaboration; provide a clear sense of direction and operational leadership; and ensure that the medical group is capable of thriving in a value based healthcare delivery environment. The ultimate objective of the Executive Medical Director is to coordinate patient care across people, functions, activities, and operating sites to maximize the value of services delivered for both the patient and the provider.
The new Executive Medical Director will support primary care physicians and advanced practice providers in their professional growth and successful adaptation to industry changes and new models of care delivery. The Executive Medical Director will further establish and effectively communicate a compelling vision for the group.
Floyd requires a dynamic leader, with clinical credibility and the ability to help foster a distinct vision for the medical group; a leader who can inspire performance that will bring distinction to the group and its members. It is critical that this leader establish him/herself as a visible, approachable individual who is a transparent, proactive and effective communicator. The Executive Medical Director must be able to clearly and comfortably communicate and collaborate with physicians of various backgrounds and administrators at various levels, while formulating an approach to infrastructure and systems to underpin a high-performing primary care physician enterprise. He/she will possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Georgia and will have at least 5 years clinical practice experience. An advanced degree in healthcare administration or a related field is desirable.
