Fort Worth, TX – Acclaim Physician Group is seeking a preeminent surgeon and leader to join them as Senior Physician Executive, Surgery. The new Senior Physician Executive, Surgery will be joining Acclaim at an exciting time as they begin to execute on their strategic and visionary plans.
Established in 2015, Acclaim is the largest multispecialty physician group practice in Tarrant County with over 400 physicians and advanced practice providers across more than 40 locations. Acclaim's health system partner, John Peter Smith (JPS) Health Network, is a $1 billion, tax-supported health care system for Tarrant County in North Texas and was voted by Modern Healthcare as #19 in the 2018 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. Reporting to the President and Chief Medical Officer of Acclaim Physician Group, the Senior Physician Executive, Surgery will provide overall direction and guidance for the Surgery and Surgical Specialties Service Line including strategic planning, business development, clinical services, surgical faculty oversight, graduate and undergraduate medical education, professional performance, and research. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for a surgeon who enjoys managing from the front lines and is energized by collaborating with surgeons, nursing and administration to continuously improve the performance of the surgical function and develop/grow new service lines, programs and clinical capabilities.
The Senior Physician Executive, Surgery will be an experienced healthcare professional who's personal and professional brand is one of integrity, accountability, collegiality, and clinical excellence. She or he will be an expert in best practices and will demonstrate the critical qualities of leadership necessary to motivate and inspire staff and system leadership to attain new levels of partnership and innovation across Acclaim and JPS Health Network.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic individual to serve as a trailblazer for a highly skilled surgery department and service line that are both strategically balanced and patient care centric. Qualified candidates must be board certified in a surgery discipline and eligible for medical licensure in Texas. Subspecialty expertise in Surgical Oncology, Vascular Surgery or Cardiac Surgery highly preferred.
