Responsible for leading strategic planning and implementation of outreach efforts across the Carondelet Health Network with a focus on local EMS providers and urgent cares in the Tucson Market to best grow and develop hospital service lines as described in Tenetâ��s Guidance on Creation and Enhancement of Service Lines at Hospitals and the hospital business plans. The position primarily focuses on educating EMS personnel on hospital services with the goal of increasing selection of our services by these EMS companies due to our high standards for clinical quality and service. Instrumentally involved in project management Trauma Program development and accreditation as well as assisting in bringing de novo micro hospital online with a smooth integration into the market. Work to be performed in compliance with the Companyâ��s Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures, particularly those involving referral source arrangements.

Improvement in care coordination and communication with community EMS providers and increased selection of Tenet facilities for appropriate patients based on Quality and Service our facilities provide.
Primary Target Audience
EMS providers and Emergency Room staff
Responsible for development, planning and implementation of EMS strategy to include maintaining and fostering relationships with EMS, urgent care providers and Emergency Room staff across the Tucson Market. .
Maintain and update reporting on activity levels, outreach efforts and market data on a regular basis or as requested.
Support the development of Trauma Programs across the market to include expanding awareness and education with EMS partners, participating in community committees and supporting community outreach initiatives relative to program development.
Collaborate with ER Leadership, EMS Medical Director, Pre-Hospital Coordinator to coordinate education of EMS services to local EMS providers (private ambulance, urgent care, fire stations, etc).
Develop and maintain outreach plans that include a minimum number of visits each week with EMS, urgent care and other providers as appropriate.
Work with hospital leadership to support the business development of new micro hospitals and the integration into the Tucson market.
Work with hospital leadership to develop processes and resolve issues with quality, service or other concerns. Develop timelines, document opportunities and help resolve issues as they arise.
Provide intelligence to appropriate hospital departments as to process improvements requested or suggested by EMS/Paramedics or other stakeholders.
Thoroughly understand why EMS/Paramedics transport patients to our facility and our competition and why. Understand market trends in EMS.
Create and maintain contact listings for all EMS companies, Urgent Care and Emergency Rooms in the area.
Participate in the development of annual business plans and strategic initiatives.
Demonstrate knowledge of the hospital and competitor strengths and weaknesses within defined service lines. Should be the go to source for knowledge within your assigned service lines.
Work with physicians, department heads, and administrators in our facility and others to understand needs and improve our relationship with local EMS.
Monitor outcomes of activities for the purpose of identifying process improvement opportunities.
Coordinate community outreach to include EMS quarterly meetings, EMS Week, and sponsored events.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience as Licensed Paramedic or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
Preferred: Bachelorâ��s Degree and above
At least 5 years of experience in a related field such as EMS/Paramedic, network development, medically-related sales, or a similar role in a hospital or other healthcare setting, preferably from Tenet or a company with a robust ethics and compliance program.
