It is the largest employer in the Monadnock Region and provides a continuum of care spanning primary care and specialty medicine, to surgical services and acute inpatient care. The Medical Director is responsible for the oversight of clinical quality and medical standards of care for Acute Care Services at Cheshire Medical Center/D-H. They are also responsible for working collaboratively with other executives and clinical leaders across the organization to create best-in-class systems and key performance metrics that establish standards of quality and value care. The Medical Director is responsible for spearheading clinical initiatives aimed at improving quality and safety outcomes across the continuum of care. In addition, s/he will play a key leadership role in the improvement of patient services, physician alignment and satisfaction, and lead evidence-based programs, practices and activities that deliver quality, service and financial results.
The Medical Director will be a physician leader with strong leadership and clinical credibility with a commitment to high quality healthcare delivery and fostering an integrated and cohesive medical staff. The successful candidate will be a leader who is viewed as a respectful, collaborative, team player and excellent communicator that can lead with integrity and influence. S/he will be a physician with appropriate board certification and experience in an administrative capacity who can collaborate with physicians of various backgrounds and administrators at various levels.
