UHS is seeking a dynamic and talented HR professional to provide strategic HR direction to the Behavioral Health facilities located in the Boston and greater Massachusetts area market. In this role you will provide strategic oversight to assigned facilities, as well as oversee human resources operations to determine areas of strength and opportunity for improvement. Collaborate with local and other company leaders to recruit, retain, and develop employees to enable strong business and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Provide oversight to the recruitment process for assigned facilities in the Boston and greater Massachusetts market. Designs, develops and implements market recruitment plan with focus on key positions, including RNs. Collaborate with facility and other leaders in resolving issues with applicant pool or recruitment process flow and resolution. Create/maintain college recruiting and job fair programs. Directly responsible for Director level recruitment within market.
Interprets HR policies, procedures and employee handbook for the Massachusetts area. Provides employee relations guidance for all non-routine HR related matters within the regional office. Directly manages sensitive and/or escalated matters. Partners with Regional Director, Human Resources on issues as needed.
Foster a positive employee relations environment within the Massachusetts market as well as among the various work groups within the area. Work with facility leaders on developing retention strategies and overseeing employee survey activity and exit interview process. Integrates engagement strategy with recruitment and retention efforts.
Oversees Facility HRD to increase competency level of the overall functioning of the HR department.
Partner with corporate legal staff to manage external complaints (e.g., EEOC, State Civil Rights, DOL investigations, etc.).
Provide guidance and assistance with labor related issues, including contract administration, as required. Works under the direction of the Staff Vice President, Labor Relations.
Manage compensation activity. Collaborate with corporate resources for periodic market study updates. Oversee hiring rates, merit increase, and other administrative activity across assigned facilities, including the tracking of trends across the market.
Look for opportunities to standardize the HR approach across the market where appropriate. Conducts regular site visits to monitor performance and audit standardized processes.
