Arkansas Health Network, a physician-driven, clinically integrated network spanning across the state, announces the recruitment of a Chief Medical Officer to serve as a key member of their management team to provide leadership in advancing Arkansas Health Network’s clinical programs.
Responding to the transformation of health care, in 2012 CHI St. Vincent collaborated with integrated and community-based physicians to form Arkansas Health Network to more effectively manage the health of populations and improve the coordination of care through shared clinical information and common goals. Arkansas Health Network manages over 81,000 value-based patient lives and is the largest Clinically Integrated Network in Arkansas with close to 1,600 providers in its “network” portfolio. Arkansas Health Network also serves as a resource to assist in the overall health management of CHI St. Vincent employee and dependents.
With the guidance from the President of Arkansas Health Network and in partnership with the Network stakeholders, the Chief Medical Officer will provide clinical leadership to support and advance population health strategies and clinical integration throughout Arkansas Health Network. The Chief Medical Officer will develop, enhance, and manage clinical services and programs to further Arkansas Health Network’s population health management work and commercial health plans. The Chief Medical Officer will serve as a medical liaison and implementer of physician-to-physician evidence-based guidelines to ensure appropriate resources are utilized for enhancing quality outcomes, cost containment and utilization management. The Chief Medical Officer will serve as a clinical advisor, educator, liaison and facilitator of Arkansas Health Network’s providers, CHI St. Vincent, and other organizations to promote Arkansas Health Network’s value and success of population health management strategies.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership experience and success leading clinical integration network strategies and population health management programs that achieve the highest standards of quality care and outcomes within a managed care environment. Current Board certification is required; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
