The Nurse Manager has twenty four hour accountability for the operational management of designated unit(s). Implicit in this statement is indicated managerial responsibility for the supervision, direction and support of the nursing staff in that unit to meet the needs of the Patient/Unit/Hospital. To deliver nursing care to the adult, geriatric, adolescent and pediatric patients utilizing nursing process.
REPORTS TO:Senior Vice President Patient Care Services
SUPERVISES: RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Partners , Unit Secretaries and other hospital personnel.
EDUCATION:Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Baccalaureate degree required or currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate program.
EXPERIENCE:Three to five years clinical/leadership experience; Certification preferred.
LICENSURE/QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice professional nursing in NJ.
IV Certification as per hospital policy. CPR Certification as per hospital policy.
