Lifespan is seeking a system Director of Epidemiology and Infection Control to join the organization and lead efforts to achieve complete system alignment of our Epidemiology and Infection Control functions. This role reports directly to Lifespan’s Vice President of Operational Excellence and is responsible, through collaboration with the Lifespan system Medical Director for Epidemiology & Infection Control, for developing, maintaining and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the system-wide program designed to identify, reduce and prevent healthcare-associated infections.
Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health or a clinical area with strong knowledge of health care processes, structures and terminology
3+ years of Director-level operations, healthcare consulting or management experience related to infection control and prevention; academic acute care setting and system experience preferred
Certification in Infection Control with expert-level knowledge of infection control and prevention
Experience in process design and measurement, data analysis, and quality and safety improvement strategies and methodologies
Proficiency in process analysis/modeling/simulation tools and quantitative data
Strong leadership skills
