Become the first-ever MultiCare Inpatient Services (MIS) physician executive who will have direct responsibility for the quality of medical care provided by hospitalists in five MultiCare Health System (MHS) hospitals located across the Puget Sound region. Together, there are a well established and highly engaged hospitalist group consisting of approximately 85 MultiCare employed providers.
Under the direction of the President and CMO, MultiCare Medical Associates and Puget Sound Careline and in conjunction with other organizational leaders, the incumbent provides medical leadership to develop and achieve the business unit’s strategic and operational objectives, integrating those objectives with the MHS system objectives. The incumbent will join the Director of Hospitalist Medicine in a dyad partnership in a team-oriented approach to planning and operational oversight of the MultiCare hospitalist program.
If selected, you will continue to practice clinically as a hospitalist 20% of your time. Graduate of an accredited medical school
Board certified at time of employment
Licensed in the state of WA
Five (5) years experience as a medical director, associate medical director or service chief in a comparable hospital or health system
Graduate degree in healthcare administration preferred
Demonstrated progress in an administrative career path preferred
Strong clinical credentials required
DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
