This position functions as a key member of the administrative team at Milford Memorial Hospital (soon to become Bayhealth Hospital – Sussex Campus) and works collaboratively and equally with the Hospital Administrator and Senior Director of Patient Care Services. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will assist in leading outreach efforts to all medical staff and community providers practicing in the southern region of the state of Delaware. You will also have direct focus on growing clinical programs, market share and assisting in leading the process to improve clinical and operational outcomes across the southern region of Bayhealth’s primary and secondary market. The position will be located in Milford, DE at the Sussex Campus.
MD or DO required, and graduation from approved ACGME residency
5 years as a practicing physician, and significant experience in part or full time physician leadership
Experience with performance improvement in health care, with documented improvements in specific projects
Experience with at least one of the following major tools: Lean/Six Sigma, High Reliability Principles, DMAIC, or methodologies judged to be significantly similar to these
Master’s degree or post-graduate training in health care improvement/ leadership/administration preferred
Must be Board eligible in specialty. Eligible for Delaware license. Meets all requirements to obtain Medical Staff privileges.
