Full Time - Experienced
Furst Group is proud to partner with Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) in the recruitment of its next Vice President and Chief Quality Officer to lead the system’s quality and patient safety efforts. This non-profit, mission-driven healthcare system serves patients in Illinois and Wisconsin across 15 hospitals, and has scores of community-based health centers and clinics. It has nearly 2,300 physician partners and more than 14,600 colleagues. This is an exciting time for HSHS as the organization continues to mature and unify while making significant advances within the dynamic healthcare industry.
Based in Springfield, Illinois, this position represents an excellent opportunity for a talented physician leader to join a high performance team serving as the primary liaison for quality and safety initiatives across the system. The successful candidate will analyze data and prioritize projects to reduce clinical variation in care delivery, recommend quality and safety goals for HSHS strategic plans, and drive implementation of system-wide standards, policies, and procedures while promoting a culture of safety across all HSHS facilities. Working in partnership with the Vice President and Chief Physician Executive, this physician leader will have the opportunity to serve during a time of continued growth and increasing sophistication.
The ideal candidate will be a board certified MD/DO with experience as a physician executive (i.e., Chief Quality Officer, Chief Medical Officer, etc.) within a healthcare system. A minimum of five years of clinical practice experience is required along with progressive leadership experience in quality and safety initiatives. We are seeking a mission-driven leader with the ability to operationalize vision and strategy, to effect change, and to drive success and achievement. The chosen candidate will have a track record of establishing and cultivating relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, partnering with physicians and system administration, and demonstrated leadership of people, processes, and initiatives leading to a culture of safety, transparency, collaboration, and innovation.
