Furst Group is proud to partner with SSM Health Illinois in the recruitment of a Regional Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) to oversee two hospitals: SSM Health St. Mary’s in Centralia and SSM Health Good Samaritan in Mount Vernon. SSM Health Illinois, one of five regions, is part of SSM Health, a $6 billion integrated delivery system based in St. Louis, Missouri.
Reporting to the Regional President for SSM Health Illinois, the Regional VPMA will be focused on defining, aligning, and influencing the development of care standards, improvement of clinical quality, and the enhancement of necessary patient safety systems and procedures. This is an opportunity for a talented physician leader to transform the region into a more tightly integrated and aligned organization. An inspirational leader who brings an energetic, innovative approach and transparent style is desired.
The ideal candidate will be a board certified physician executive possessing clinical practice experience along with progressive leadership experience in medical staff activities in a hospital or system setting.
