The Chief Medical Officer for Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS) at Ann Arbor and Livingston will lead and provide service to the medical staff and hospital leadership in this two-hospital system in the southeast region of Michigan with approximately $1.2 billion in annual revenue. Working in partnership with the system Chief Clinical Officer, other physician leaders across the enterprise, and nursing leadership and administration, this clinical leader will have the opportunity to serve during a time of continued growth and increasing sophistication.
The Chief Medical Officer of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS) reports to the President of SJM Ann Arbor and Livingston Hospitals, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Regional Chief Clinical Officer.
Ideal candidates will be board certified physician executives with at least 15 years of experience in clinical practice and five years in applicable leadership roles. A graduate degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred. Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills are required along with a demonstrated ability to lead medical staff quality initiatives. Personal presence, which is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, values, and guiding behaviors of Trinity Health is also preferred.
