The Department of Academics at Merritt Hawkins is honored to work with the Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest School of Medicine to present an opportunity as Chief of the Section of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. This is a young and energetic section with tremendous growth potential under the right leadership.
The Chief’s role includes defining and achieving the section's strategic, clinical, research, and operational goals. Duties will include administrative leadership, clinical care, and research mentorship. This section provides a full range of pediatric pulmonary services, including a strong cystic fibrosis program, with accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center, pediatric sleep medicine clinic, and a busy trach-clinic. There is opportunity in sleep medicine as the retiring chief was the primary sleep physician in the section. The Chief will promote excellent clinical care as a team member, and mentor in research and career development of junior and mid-level faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic team leader that wants to grow a section with endless potential.
