Partnered with an established hospital in northern Illinois that has an opportunity for an OB Hospitalist to assist their team.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: 24-hour in-house call, 7a-7a, specific dates
• Level III nursery and NICU
• Delivery Volume: 10-15 per month
• Daily Volume: 4-10 postpartum, 2-10 L&D/high risk moms, ~2 circumcisions
• Support Staff: FP resident trained as first assist, OB/GYN physicians and 2 midwives on call, nursing staff
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered OB Hospitalist Illinois state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited OB Hospitalist program
• One year of work experience as OB Hospitalist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
