Endeavor Health is pleased to announce a national search to recruit a leader for a newly created combined role: Endeavor Health Physician Executive, Neurology & Vice Chair, University of Chicago, Department of Neurology.

The Endeavor Health Physician Executive will lead 112 total employed Neurology providers (87 physicians and 25 APPs) to advance Neurology excellence across Endeavor Health. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success leading clinical operations, program development, and recruitment of diverse providers to achieve superior clinical outcomes and strategic growth priorities. The Physician Executive is responsible for oversight of clinical quality, provider performance, the effective administration and growth of Endeavor Health’s Neurology practice and programs, as well as associated acute and ambulatory diagnostic services. The educational mission of Endeavor Health is supported through its academic affiliation with the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. As their primary teaching affiliate, Endeavor Health supports a broad range of residency and fellowship programs, as well as supporting undergraduate medical education rotations for Pritzker students.

As Vice Chair, University of Chicago, Department of Neurology, this leader will work in close collaboration with the Chair, University of Chicago, Department of Neurology to advance clinical, educational, and research programs. They will support the oversight of clinical operations and supervise section chiefs and medical directors at all Endeavor sites. They will serve as an escalation point for operational and quality issues, clinical program development, and performance evaluation. They will also provide strategic input to the Chair on clinical investments, program development, and external partnerships. The Vice Chair will work closely with the Vice Chairs of Education at UChicago and NorthShore to identify opportunities for enhanced training experiences for UChicago students, residents, and fellows at Endeavor sites. Finally, he/she will work with the Chair to expand research focused on clinical trials, genetics and population health, and clinical informatics.

As Endeavor Health Physician Executive, this leader will report dually to the President, Endeavor Health Medical Group Specialty Care and to the NorthShore Hospitals Chair, Neurology. As Vice Chair, this leader will report to the Chair, University of Chicago, Department of Neurology.  Note, the Chair, University of Chicago, Department of Neurology also serves as the NorthShore Hospitals Chair, Neurology.

Qualified candidates will hold a medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent), be board certified in their area of expertise, and be eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.  MBA, MHA, or similar degree is also preferred.
